For the third year in a row, the Fernandina Beach Rotary Club hosted its Rotary Magic trip to Disney World. Members of the club along with six teachers and 23 third-grade students from Emma Love Hardee Elementary School trekked to Orlando for a full day of adventure. The kids and their chaperones explored the park from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot and all the thrilling rides in between, stopping only long enough to eat lunch. The students where chosen for the excursion based on good grades, class attendance and overall academic achievement.

The project was conceived by Fernandina Beach Rotary Club member Rick Keffer in 2012 to reward local students who had never had the chance to visit Disney World. Rotary Magic has since become one of the club’s cherished legacy projects.
