Recently, members of the Fernandina Beach Rotary Club attended the induction of officers and members of the 2015-2016 Fernandina Beach High School Interact Club. Officers are: Ashley Reed, president; Sarah Stone, vice president; Elizabeth Hoffer, secretary; Nichole Curry, treasurer and Club Directors Joey Krajewski, Amber Sell, Jessie Clark, Alex Jekyll and Riley Hammett. This year's club is one of the largest ever with 72 members. They have already begun work on one project. In the week leading up to World Polio Day on October 23, Interact Club members wore handmade buttons and reached out to fellow students for help in raising money for Rotary's End Polio Now campaign. Other projects the club will undertake in the coming months include Project Christmas Child, working the concession stand at the Harlem Ambassadors game in February and hosting the annual Kids Fun Day Carnival at Central Park.

The Fernandina Beach Rotary Club has sponsored the FBHS Interact Club since its inception in 1966.
