The Fernandina Beach Rotary Club recently enjoyed a presentation by Brad Raney, CEO of Personal Performance Partnership.  Raney, an author, motivational speaker and sales and management trainer for more than 25 years, offered the club a number of methods to use in both strengthening the club’s projects and programs as well as its new member recruitment efforts.  Raney spoke about the training techniques he has developed for sales personal, which he also believes translate well to positive club development.  He outlined two particular development approaches -- both acronyms:  The Vowels and THRIVE.  Once explained, each approach offered concise tips on developing stronger member involvement and ways to showcase the club’s successes.  Raney closed his presentation by noting that if we expect to make positive change happen in any area of our lives, we need to take charge and continue moving forward with a positive attitude.
