Recently, the Fernandina Beach Rotary Club enjoyed a presentation by local fitness guru, Artie Lynnworth. Lynnworth, a retired electrical engineer, is a martial arts practitioner as well as a former gymnast and gymnastics coach who has authored four books on healthy living. He shared a variety of stretching and flexing exercises that he said could be done at almost any time -- while watching TV, in the car at a stoplight or while standing in line at the bank. The goal, Lynnworth said, is to find an exercise regimen that fits your lifestyle and that you enjoy, so you will stick with it. He added that most people could develop a fitness program that requires no equipment, no money and therefore, meant no excuses. In closing, Lynnworth said to remember that doing anything to stay fit is better than doing nothing.
