Welcome to the Rotary Club of Fernandina Beach

The Rotary Club of Fernandina Beach was founded 85 years ago to serve the Fernandina Beach-Amelia Island area.  Our members are local business and community leaders from a variety of professions all committed to the Rotary ideal of "Service Above Self."  The Rotary Club of Fernandina Beach offers members the opportunity to be involved in local and international service, develop high ethical standards in their professions and advance international understanding, good will and peace through a variety of projects.   Since it was chartered in 1926, the club has dedicated itself to numerous projects, including:

  • Raising more than $130,000 for the Rotary Foundation's End Polio Now program;
  • Distributing more than $300,000 in college scholarships to area high school graduates;
  • Working with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program to host students from other countries so that they can live and study in the Fernandina Beach area and sponsoring local students who wish to study overseas, all to promote world peace and understanding;
  • Providing financial support to Fernandina Beach Boy Scout Troop 89;
  • Sponsoring the Fernandina Beach High School Interact Club since 1966;
  • Partnering with other area Rotary Clubs, Potters for Peace and the Peace Corp to fund a water purification project in Nicaragua;
  • Delivering some 800-plus dictionaries each year to every third grader in Nassau County;
  • Funding 13 ShelterBoxes - boxes of survival essentials distributed to disaster victims throughout the world.

We hope you'll consider joining us in making our community and our world a better place to live!
