At a recent meeting of the Fernandina Beach Rotary Club, David Caples was honored for achieving his second Paul Harris Fellowship.  Caples was awarded his sapphire Paul Harris pin in recognition of giving more than $2,000 to the Rotary Foundation, which uses the money to fund its many humanitarian projects, including improving living conditions around the world, providing rehabilitation services to the sick and disabled and supporting wider food production.  Fernandina Beach Rotary Club President John Boylan noted that Caples, innkeeper and owner of the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge exemplified the principles of the Paul Harris Fellowship not only for his donations to the Rotary Foundation, but for his long-standing service to his community.
